By purchasing from Fleabag Fursuits, you are agreeing to all of the following:

A. Financial

  1. The product will be sold for the price settled upon via communications between the client and the artist. Price will be agreed upon between artist and person of at LEAST 18 years of age with valid government / state issued photo ID. If under 18 years of age, agreement will be between parent or legal guardian with proof of age. If parent or legal guardian is needed - a video call via Discord, Skype, Facebook with camera ON will be required to confirm identity. If Parent / Legal Guardian approves a minor's request, all communications will be between artist and adult.
  2. The NON-REFUNDABLE holding fee for the product must be received in full prior to slot on artist's board being held. (Again, this amount is a non-refundable holding fee and is used for material costs associated with the product and to guarantee a spot to be held in artist's schedule.)
  3. Construction on item(s) will not begin until order is paid HALF way and commissioner will not receive item until item is paid for, in full. Artist utilizes a first come first served method unless there are payments missed by an existing client, in which spots will be moved around to properly accommodate and keep things moving. If que is adjusted, client(s) will be notified.
  4. PayPal is the only accepted payment method. Artist will send an invoice upon reaching agreement with commissioner.
  5. Artist does NOT work with due dates BUT will provide updates to projects. Missed payments with no communication will stop construction on the project and may require a new completion estimate date. If payment needs to be re-scheduled, communication with artist is required. If more than 3 payments have been missed with no communication, project will be placed at bottom of artist's board. If 5 payments have been missed with no communication, project will be cancelled completely.
  6. All fursuits are custom-built, and are not eligible for returns or exchanges.
  7. Shipping costs are to be paid by artist on all non parts commissions up to $50, any additional cost must be covered by the commissioner. Shipping methods used may vary due to schedule, pricing or availability. Shipping costs are subject to change at any time as artist is not in control of shipping companies costs.

B. Features

  1. PLEASE BE SURE ANY REFERENCE ART IS ACCURATE TO YOUR CHARACTER. The parties will discuss the specifications of the product before work begins. This includes, but is not limited to: Character Design, Proposed Methods of Construction, Foreseeable Limitations of Construction, and Materials used.
  2. The commissioner will provide the needed information prior to construction (e.g., sizes, measurements, or other required data). If needed, the commissioner will also provide a duct-tape dummy or dressmaker's dummy that will be mailed or hand-delivered to the artist by the agreed date.
  3. While the artist does not work with due dates, estimated completion dates may be provided as a best-guess timeline. Unforeseen circumstances (e.g., material delays, supplier issues, changes in method) may require adjustments to the timeline or materials used.
  4. The product will include all predetermined features to the best of the artist’s ability. Any known limitations will be communicated.
  5. Design changes after construction has begun may result in additional costs and changes to the completion timeline. These changes may also be denied depending on how far along the piece is.
  6. If the artist finds an issue with the proportions or details of a design (e.g., cheek floof too small, eyes not fitting the base), the client will be contacted before changes are made.

C. Service

  1. Each product includes a service plan and warranty, as detailed below.
  2. For 30 days after the product is received, repairs for manufacturer defects (e.g., popped seams, loose claws or eyes) will be made at the artist’s expense. Shipping is free for clients in the contiguous U.S.; other clients must pay shipping costs.
  3. After 30 days, the commissioner must cover the cost of all repairs, materials, and both directions of shipping.
  4. Repairs may be refused if the damage is due to misuse or catastrophic incidents, such as: submersion of non-washable parts, fire, chemicals, excessive mud or tar, or neglect (e.g., run over by a vehicle, machine washed or dried, etc.).
  5. Suits used for NSFW purposes will void the service plan. The artist may take NSFW-related commissions on a case-by-case basis, but they will not be eligible for service or repairs.
  6. Any item sent for repair — even ones not originally made by the artist — must be clean and free of smoke, chemicals, or strong body odor unless stated otherwise.

D. Liability

  1. The artist is not liable for any injury to the wearer or others due to the use of the costume.
  2. Repairs may be denied if damage results from catastrophic misuse or adult content exposure, including bodily fluids (other than sweat), fire, harsh chemicals, or neglectful actions like improper washing or flame exposure.
  3. There are no returns. The commissioner acknowledges that fursuits are custom-built and assumes the product will reflect the discussed specifications to the best of the artist’s ability.
  4. The artist may cancel a commission at any time. If so, a reason will be given and a refund (excluding the non-refundable holding fee in cases such as harassment) will be issued.
  5. If the commissioner cancels, the refund (if any) will be negotiated and may exclude part or all of the holding fee.
  6. The buyer acknowledges that the artist lives with animals. If allergic to cats, dogs, or birds, the commissioner should not purchase from the artist, as allergins may be present.
